Ingredient Deep Dive:
Calendula, Chamomile, Burdock and Yarrow are sourced from organic and Tasmanian farms for the freshest and most medicinally active compounds. They all contain skin-healing, soothing, and nourishing properties. Infused for 2 weeks using dual extraction methods.
Australian Sandalwood bark and seed oil (Santalum spicatum) have been used for thousands of years by Indigenous Aboriginal peoples for their skin-healing and nourishing qualities as well as spiritual cleansing and connection to country. Sustainably wild-harvested in Western Australia. Infused for 2 weeks using dual extraction methods.
Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) resin is ethically sourced from Somalia and has a history of use spanning thousands of years for cosmetic, medicinal, and aromatic properties. When properly extracted (I extract for 3 weeks) and infused in oil, it yields high amounts of boswellic acids - unlike the essential oil. Boswellic acids are anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory and increase skin elasticity. I’ve found it helpful for acne and early signs of skin aging.
Australian cold-pressed hemp seed oil is rich in omega-3, 6, 9 and gamma-linolenic acid, providing anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and replenishing properties.
Jamaican black castor oil is a roasted, high-potency castor oil high in ricinoleic acid, omegas 3, 6 and 9, vitamin E, and natural anti-inflammatory compounds.
Honey and beeswax are sourced from Malfoys Gold in the Blue Mountains, NSW: “Cold pressed from 100% natural comb and exceeding biodynamic and organic standards. Aged for up to 5 years in the hive, post-brood combs contain both the essence of the bee colony superorganism and the plants' nectar, pollen and ‘kino’ resins. Post-brood combs contain the highest amounts of bee bread (fermented pollen) and propolis.” I am so proud to include this honey as I believe there is nothing like it in Australia, if not the rest of the world. Bees are so incredible, and it was really important to me to include such magical medicinal compounds from our winged friends.
